Chicken & Green Bean Light Bites
A low-calorie baked treat for cats watching their waistline. Green beans add gentle fibre and bulk with very few calories, so your cat feels rewarded without the extra weight.

🧺 Ingredients
- 150g cooked chicken breast (shredded, no skin or bone)
- 40g cooked green beans (plain, finely chopped)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp oat flour
👩🍳 Method
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment.
- Steam the green beans until very soft, then chop them finely — no salt, butter or seasoning.
- Combine the shredded chicken, green beans, egg and oat flour in a bowl.
- Mix into a firm dough, adding a little more oat flour if it feels too wet.
- Roll into small balls (about 2cm) and flatten slightly on the tray.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and firm, then cool completely before serving.
Nutrition: Lean chicken delivers high-quality animal protein while green beans provide low-calorie fibre that adds bulk and helps a food-motivated cat feel satisfied — useful for weight management.
📝 Notes
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 6 weeks. Green beans must be plain — never tinned with salt or cooked in butter. Treats should make up no more than 10% of your cat's daily calories, even the light ones.
