🧺 Ingredients
- 150g cooked chicken breast (shredded)
- 50g cooked pumpkin (mashed)
- 30g cooked brown rice
- 1 tsp salmon oil
- Pinch of dried catnip (optional)
👩🍳 Method
- Boil chicken breast in unsalted water until fully cooked through (about 15 minutes).
- Steam pumpkin cubes until completely soft, then mash smoothly.
- Cook brown rice according to package directions — it should be soft, not al dente.
- Shred the chicken into small cat-appropriate pieces.
- Combine chicken, pumpkin mash, and rice in a bowl and mix gently.
- Drizzle salmon oil over the top and stir through.
- Serve at room temperature. Add catnip if your cat responds to it.
Nutrition: Pumpkin is rich in soluble fibre which supports healthy digestion and can help with both constipation and mild diarrhoea. Salmon oil delivers omega-3s for coat and joint health.
📝 Notes
Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Never add salt, onion, garlic, or seasoning of any kind. Brown rice can be omitted for cats on grain-free diets — replace with an extra 30g of chicken.
