🧺 Ingredients
- 150g cooked chicken breast (finely shredded)
- 1 tbsp cooked spinach (finely chopped, well drained)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp oat flour
👩🍳 Method
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a tray with parchment.
- Steam or boil a small handful of spinach until soft, drain well, and chop very finely.
- Mix the shredded chicken, chopped spinach, egg, and oat flour into a firm dough.
- Roll into small bite-sized balls and flatten slightly on the tray.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until firm and lightly golden.
- Cool completely before serving. Offer one or two as a treat, not a meal replacement.
Nutrition: Chicken supplies lean, highly digestible protein, while a small amount of spinach adds iron and vitamin K. Egg binds the bites and provides biotin for a healthy coat.
📝 Notes
Use only a small amount of spinach — it is a treat topping, not a staple, as leafy greens should stay a minor part of a cat's diet. Store airtight in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
