🧺 Ingredients

  • 90 g cooked turkey breast, finely minced
  • 1 tsp 100% unsweetened cranberry purée (no added sugar)
  • 1 tbsp oat flour
  • 1 small egg, beaten

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan 160°C) and line a tray with parchment.
  2. Combine the minced turkey, cranberry purée, oat flour and egg into a firm, mouldable mixture.
  3. Shape into small flattened bites and place on the tray.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes until set and lightly coloured.
  5. Cool fully before offering one or two as a treat.
Nutrition: Turkey provides lean, low-fat protein that is easy on the waistline, and a trace of unsweetened cranberry adds a tart note some owners like to include as a small nod to urinary wellbeing, always alongside plenty of fresh water.

📝 Notes

Use only pure, unsweetened cranberry with no added sugar, xylitol or juice concentrate, and keep the amount tiny. These bites are a treat, not a medical treatment — any cat with genuine urinary problems needs a vet, not a home remedy. Refrigerate and use within three days.

⚕️ Before you cook for your cat

  • Homemade food must be balanced. Cats need taurine, and deficiency causes heart and eye disease.
  • Treat recipes are supplements to a complete diet, not a replacement for it.
  • Check any new ingredient against the toxic-foods list, and ask your vet before switching diets.
