📜 History & origin
The Li Hua ('fox flower') is a natural landrace cat documented in Chinese culture for centuries and possibly descended from the Chinese mountain cat lineage. It was presented at a cat show in Beijing in 2003 and accepted for registration by the Cat Fanciers' Association in 2010, becoming one of the first breeds of native Chinese origin to gain recognition.

The weatherproof coat is genuinely wash-and-wear, needing only an occasional brush. A naturally athletic hunter, the Dragon Li appreciates interactive play and room to roam, but its even temperament makes it adaptable to a range of homes.

As a naturally evolved landrace, the breed benefits from a broad, robust gene pool and has no recognised inherited conditions. Routine preventive veterinary care is all that is generally required to keep these hardy cats healthy.
